Job summary

Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, P.C. is seeking an Infusion Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Infusion Team. The LPN will assist Infusion RNs, greet patients, take vitals, and prepare them for IV infusions, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include charting, vital signs, inserting/removing IVs, administering medications, maintaining sterile conditions, and safeguarding patient privacy in a busy clinic.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN in good standing.
• High level dedication to excellent patient care, teamwork, and accuracy.
• Good communication skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced medical office.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Greet Infusion patients and sign in according to protocols.
• Schedule/Reschedule Infusion appointments as needed.
• Assist with charting and recording infusion vitals/administration.
• Perform verbal pre-infusion questionnaire with patient.
• Obtain vitals and weight before, during, and after infusion.
• Draw labs per protocol for medications given IV/Injection.
• Administer injections as ordered.
• Insertion and removal of IVs with proper documentation.
• Administer Pre-Mixed Medications as needed.
• Maintain sterile environment at all times.
• Maintain drug inventory and medical supply stock.
• Secure external orders/records as needed.
• Respond to information requests promptly.
• Keep Infusion suite neat and compliant with privacy rules.
