Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. invites qualified professionals to join the Henderson mine and mill operations in Colorado. The role focuses on set-up, installation, and maintenance of computer and communications systems, with responsibilities spanning server management and MIS project support.

On-site employees may receive a $1,450 monthly housing allowance and access to a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Proficiency in network gear and certifications is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up, deliver and install PCs, telephones and networking equipment.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking devices and infrastructure (switches, hubs, wireless, MESH).
• Assist in managing site servers and storage, both virtual and physical.
• Assist in MIS and process infrastructure projects.
• Participate in Safety and Environmental programs and ensure MIS policy compliance.
• Perform other duties as required.

Where You Will Work

Our Henderson mine and mill are an hour drive apart – separated by the Continental Divide and a 15-mile conveyor system (10 miles underground). The Henderson mine is an underground molybdenum mining operation located approximately 42 miles west of Denver and 10 miles west of Empire. It has been in operation since 1976 and today consists of a large block-cave, underground mining complex feeding a concentrator with a current capacity of approximately 32,000 metric tons per day. It can produce approximately 15 million pounds of molybdenum per year. The Henderson mill is located 15 miles west of the mine, between Dillon and Kremmling.

What You Will Do

• Set-up, deliver and install personal computers, telephones, networking, and peripheral equipment using established and defined procedures and processes.


• Configure, install, troubleshoot, and monitor communications devices, including switches, hubs, wireless devices, MESH networking components, voice system, RF systems and other networking infrastructure (both copper and fiber optic)


• Assist in the management of site\'s servers and process control infrastructure, including site virtual/physical servers and storage devices.


• Assist in the execution of projects related to MIS and process infrastructure.


• Actively participate in Safety and Environmental programs, ensure MIS policy compliance and site operational goals.


• Perform other duties as required.

What You Bring To Freeport

• Four (4) years of experience in computer/electronic systems hardware/software troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairANDone (1) Technical Certification in a discipline relevant to the role that the applicant will be filling,OR


• Six (6) years of experience in computer/electronic systems hardware/software troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair

Preferred Qualifications

• Physical/Virtual server management training


• RF field experience


• CompTIA (A+ Security, Net+, Security+, etc.)


• Microsoft Server related certification


• Fiber Optic Certified Technician


• MESH network certification


• BICSI (Cable Installer Certification)


• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently$32.00 - $43.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
