Job summary

Accenture is seeking an Infrastructure Resiliency Leader to own IT resiliency strategy and end-to-end execution. You will be responsible for BC/DR, high availability design, regulatory compliance, crisis management, and geo-resilience across a global infrastructure estate.

The role involves executive engagement with CIOs and CROs, P&L ownership, and shaping large resiliency engagements. Travel 25%–100% may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT infrastructure, operational resilience, or technology risk with BC/DR and HA focus.
• Experience in senior leadership roles with resiliency strategy, regulatory compliance, or crisis response for large enterprises.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (min 12 years); associate's degree requires 6+ years.

Responsibilities

• Set IT resiliency strategy and execute across BC/DR, HA, and geo-resilience for global clients.
• Be the executive accountability for DORA compliance and regulatory expectations across financial services and other regulated industries.
• Design crisis management frameworks, runbooks, and escalation protocols for sustained operations during disruptions.
• Lead geo-resilience architectures and multi-region failover models considering data sovereignty and latency.
• Sell and shape resiliency engagements at CIO/CRO level; lead pursuits and present to boards and regulators.
• Oversee commercial and delivery performance of resiliency engagements including P&L and client satisfaction.
• Provide thought leadership on AI-driven resilience testing, chaos engineering, and evolving regulatory frameworks.
• Build and scale Accenture's resiliency practice, attracting talent and expanding go-to-market for infrastructure resilience.

We are seeking an exceptional consulting leader to serve as our Infrastructure Resiliency Lead, a senior L5 position with enterprise-wide ownership of IT resiliency strategy and execution. This role holds end-to-end accountability for business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR), high availability (HA) architecture, DORA and operational-resilience regulatory compliance, crisis management, and geo-resilience design across the firm's global infrastructure estate. Operating at the highest levels of client engagement, this individual sells and delivers large, complex resiliency programs directly to CIO and CRO audiences, and is personally accountable for both sold and delivered work.

The Work:

• Own IT resiliency end-to-end — setting strategy, governing architecture, and driving execution across BC/DR, HA design, operational resilience, and geo-resilience programs for complex global clients

• Serve as the primary executive point of accountability for DORA compliance, operational-resilience regulatory requirements, and related supervisory expectations across financial services and other regulated industries

• Lead crisis management design and response frameworks — including crisis simulation, runbook governance, and executive escalation protocols — ensuring clients can sustain critical operations through major disruptions

• Design and oversee geo-resilience architectures — active-active, active-passive, and multi-region failover models — accounting for data sovereignty, latency, regulatory, and concentration-risk requirements

• Sell and shape resiliency engagements at the CIO and CRO level — leading pursuits, authoring executive proposals, and presenting to boards, regulators, and senior risk committees

• Maintain personal accountability for the commercial and delivery performance of sold engagements — including P&L ownership, risk management, and client satisfaction for the resiliency portfolio

• Provide thought leadership on emerging resilience trends — including AI-driven resilience testing, chaos engineering, third-party concentration risk, and evolving regulatory frameworks (DORA, FRB SR 20-4, APRA CPS 230)

• Build and lead a high-performing resiliency practice — attracting talent, developing next-generation leaders, and scaling Accenture's go-to-market proposition in infrastructure resilience

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 25% to 100% depending on business need and client requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, operational resilience, or technology risk, with a demonstrable specialty in BC/DR and HA architecture

• Minimum 10+ years in senior leadership roles with direct ownership of resiliency strategy, regulatory compliance, or crisis response for large, complex enterprises

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

Bonus Points If:

• Deep domain experience in financial services, financial market infrastructure, or other systemically important sectors subject to heightened operational resilience scrutiny

• Hands-on experience engaging directly with financial regulators (PRA, FCA, ECB, OCC, Fed) on resilience-related examinations, findings, and remediation programs

• Industry certifications in business continuity (CBCP/MBCP), cloud architecture, or operational risk management

• Experience leading chaos engineering and advanced resilience-testing programs (e.g., Netflix Simian Army, AWS Fault Injection Simulator, cloud-native chaos tooling)

Skills:

• BC/DR & HA Architecture: End-to-end BC/DR program design (RTO/RPO, BIA, testing), multi-cloud HA patterns (AWS, Azure, GCP), and geo-resilient multi-region failover.

• Operational Resilience & Compliance: Global regulatory alignment (DORA, PRA/FCA, FRB, APRA CPS 230), business service mapping, and impact tolerance testing.

• Crisis Management & Third-Party Risk: Command structures, live tabletop simulations, vendor concentration assessments, and supply-chain exit strategies.

• Commercial & Executive Leadership: C-suite and Board engagement, large deal origination, portfolio P&L management, and practice development.
