Orion Engineers, PLLC in Chicago seeks a Project Engineer - Construction to support infrastructure and transportation projects. You will assist plan preparation, quantity calculations, and geometric design while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Illinois PE licensure, and at least five years of construction engineering experience. Proficiency in MicroStation, E-Builder, CMMS, and Primavera is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with construction emphasis.
• Illinois PE licensure and strong communication and analytical skills.
• Minimum 5 years of construction engineering experience.
• Familiarity with roadway design, ISTHA/IDOT policies, and plan preparation.
• Valid driver's license for site travel and fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist plan preparation, quantity calculations, and design tasks.
• Research design options and document findings, ensuring accuracy.
• Contribute to environmental and administrative reports for permits.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on schedule, scope, and budgets.
• Support proposals and business development activities.
