Job summary

Landmark Properties seeks an Infrastructure Manager to lead a hybrid on‑premise and Azure environment, including Windows Server, AD, VMware, SAN storage, and network infrastructure. You will design secure cloud integration, implement site‑to‑site connectivity, and align IT with budget and strategic goals.

You will mentor staff, maintain disaster recovery with Azure Site Recovery, manage Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, enforce security controls, and document standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing a corporate IT environment, including on-premise and Azure hybrid‑cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of VMware virtualization, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and Group Policy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain on‑premise physical and virtual server environments (VMware ESXi, SAN storage, networking).
  • Design, implement, and maintain a secure hybrid cloud architecture connecting on‑premise infrastructure with Azure.
  • Oversee Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Teams access, security, and integrations.
  • Manage disaster recovery plans (Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup) and ensure backup reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to IT staff.

Job Description The primary role of the Infrastructure Manager is to manage, secure, and continuously improve Landmark Properties' hybrid infrastructure environment - spanning on-premise Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory systems, VMware virtualization and storage infrastructure, corporate network infrastructure, and Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud services. The role requires deep expertise bridging traditional on-premise data center operations with Azure-based hybrid cloud architecture, including hybrid identity, connectivity, and disaster recovery between the two environments. In addition, the Infrastructure Manager will build standards, procedures, and make strategic recommendations for the company for the purposes of budget planning and long-term decision making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise infrastructure technology and excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the organization's on-premise physical and virtual server environment including VMWare ESXi Servers, SAN storage, and networking, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
  • Manage the corporate on-premise Microsoft environment, including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services.
  • Design, implement, and maintain a secure hybrid-cloud architecture connecting on-premise infrastructure with Microsoft Azure, including site-to-site VPN/ExpressRoute connectivity, Azure Virtual Machines and networking, and hybrid identity (Azure AD Connect / Microsoft Entra Connect).
  • Manage Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Teams platforms including user access, permissions, and integrations.
  • Manage and maintain the organization's disaster recovery plan, including Azure Site Recovery and Azure Backup, and ensure reliability of backup systems for on-premise servers, the M365 environment, and network infrastructure.
  • Manage corporate network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, wireless, and site connectivity across on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Design and recommend solutions, investments, and operating and capital expenses (budget) for infrastructure-related hardware, software, and cloud services to improve and maintain the corporate infrastructure.
  • Maintain, develop, and implement IT policies, procedures, documentation, and work instructions related to all duties and responsibilities.
  • Evaluate software and cloud solutions for accuracy, business impact, and best fit for the organization.
  • Monitor and maintain the organization's digital security across on-premise and Azure environments, including patching, endpoint protection, and access controls.
  • Provide technical support, mentorship, and guidance to other IT staff.
  • Perform other work as assigned, including assisting others or providing backup for other team members, as needed.
Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing a corporate IT environment, including experience supporting both on-premise infrastructure and a Microsoft Azure hybrid-cloud environment.

Preferred Certifications
  • VMWare (VCP)
  • Microsoft (Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, etc.)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of VMware virtualization (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter), SANs, and enterprise storage.
  • Strong knowledge of on-premise Microsoft infrastructure: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and Windows Server.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure hybrid-cloud services: Azure AD/Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure networking (VPN Gateway/ExpressRoute), Azure Backup, and Azure Site Recovery.
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365/Office 365 Administration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Intune, Autopilot, and Microsoft Defender is desired.
  • Experience with hybrid identity synchronization (Azure AD Connect/Microsoft Entra Connect) is desired.
