Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an Infrastructure Lead on the Exchange team to own network infrastructure, deployment, and operational tooling across cloud and on-prem environments for institutional trading. You will ensure ultra-low-latency, high-availability networks, mentor engineers, and lead on-call and incident response to keep trading systems fast, reliable, and scalable.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of network or SRE experience in latency-sensitive environments.
• Deep hands-on expertise with multicast, BGP, OSPF, VRFs, and low-latency switching.
• Lead live incident response for production trading systems.
• Experience with Fortinet or Palo Alto firewalls and VPNs.
• Crypto experience is a plus.
• Uses generative AI with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own, operate, and optimize resilient, ultra-low-latency networks and data-center infrastructure.
• Design and maintain routing, traffic-segmentation, and multicast architectures.
• Deploy and operate firewalls and secure connectivity across Fortinet and Palo Alto platforms.
• Drive observability and network automation using Python or Ansible.
• Lead safe production changes, incident response, and on-call rotation.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with SRE/Infra, Product, and trading teams.
