Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects is seeking a Construction Inspector to support field execution on major capital projects. You will produce daily site reports, verify compliance with approved plans, specifications and codes, and coordinate with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers and regulators to keep projects moving safely.

Requires a BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or 5 years of related experience), strong negotiation and interpersonal skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of construction-related experience if no degree.
• Willing to travel to various project areas as needed, or comply with vehicle policy.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily site inspection reports to verify compliance with plans, specifications and codes.
• Coordinate in-field with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers and regulators.
• Monitor and document contractor labor, materials and equipment utilization for field changes.
• Attend and participate in construction, safety and site coordination meetings.
• Verify installation of equipment and materials.
• Measure and record pay quantities.
• Review the contractor's schedule.
• Coordinate 3rd-party material testing inspections.
• Review input on potential change orders.
• Maintain project records including safety documentation.
• Manage project photographic records.
• Conduct verification of field surveys.
• Maintain a daily report of all site activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
