Position Summary

The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancement of both on‑premises and cloud‑based server hosting environments. This role involves designing, deploying, upgrading, and securing server infrastructure, including all associated hardware and software components. The engineer ensures the development of highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions, incorporating effective disaster recovery strategies. This position collaborates closely with IT Support, Business IT Analysts, Networking, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure seamless and uninterrupted operations. This is a hybrid position which requires employee presence 50‑100% of the time.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage Windows updates, assist with Exchange Management console.
  • Manage IT Datacenter, Physical and Virtualized Servers, Virtualization Clustering, and SANs.
  • Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud‑based systems.
  • Responsible/Accountable for server/application builds and qualifications for manufacturing and site cloud applications.
  • Manage Network Switches, Network Firewalls, IIS (Internet Information Services), Wireless Networks, and Gateways.
  • Maintain all system backups and participate in Disaster Recovery planning and execution.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and remediate server hardware/system related issues.
  • Support existing systems – proactively manage and maintain multiple systems to ensure performance and availability.
  • Work independently on assignments where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making choices, recommendations, or decisions.
  • Provide Level 3 support to users.
  • Provide off‑hours support on a rotating basis as needed.
  • Collaborate with partners and customers to identify, scope, plan and execute digital modernization and asset life cycle management activities.
  • Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in on‑premise and cloud security.
  • Provide ownership and accountability for Asset Life Cycle Management within ServiceNow.
  • Own Active Directory, Time synchronization with NTP, Network Domain and Domain Controllers in Windows environment.
  • Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs.
  • Perform/assist in cloud infrastructure upgrades and updates to maximize system efficiency while minimizing downtime.
  • Work closely with IT Specialists, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Validation teams in assessment, recommendation and implementation of computerized system applications that support site Business and Manufacturing processes.
  • Provide support in IT Network activities such as deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred; in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 3–5 years of high‑level, hands‑on IT experience is required.
  • Azure, AWS, or GCP certifications preferred.
  • Cisco CCNA (or equivalent certification) a plus.

  • Strong problem‑solving skills, firm understanding of how to properly troubleshoot problems with as minimal client impact as possible.
  • Excellent project management, verbal communication, documentation, and technical writing skills.

  • Knowledge of Windows Operating System, Domains, and Group Policies.
  • Knowledge of Networking, Network Switches, Network Firewalls, IIS (Internet Information Services), Wireless Networks, and Gateways.
  • Experience and/or substantial understanding of industrial IT Datacenter, Physical and Virtualized Servers, Virtualization Clustering, and SANs.
  • Experience with Data accessing, storing and security within a cloud environment.
  • Skilled in Active Directory, Time synchronization with NTP, Network Domain, Domain Controllers, Networks, and Databases.
  • Ability to work in a diverse work environment, manage multiple priorities, and at times, be self‑directed.
  • Familiar with cyber security best practices and industry‑standard tools.
  • Experience with VPN, Routers, and Routing Protocols.
  • Perform in‑depth systems analysis on a multitude of technology devices, operating systems and software.
  • Ability to document, create, analyze and test computer systems, programs, software.
  • Exceptional understanding of advanced networking, including on‑premise/cloud enterprise‑grade infrastructure, as well as cloud‑based network "appliances" and interfaces.
  • Knowledge of integrating networking basics and virtual networks with cloud services.
  • Familiar with common languages (i.e. Python, Java, Golang, or Ruby) used in cloud computing.
  • In‑depth, advanced understanding of the AWS/Azure ecosystem and technologies and how to apply them in a reliable and efficient manner – a strong plus.
  • Hands‑on experience with Cisco appliances, ability to work within the CLI, a strong plus.
  • Experience and understanding of the Linux operation system – a major plus.
Physical Demands

Office‑based position which requires appropriate levels of personal protective equipment (PPE) when field work is required. Frequent repeated motions such as keyboarding are required.

Work Environment

This position is based indoors and the employee will primarily be working with others, but also independently. This position requires employee presence on site 50‑100%. This position is a team & project‑based position that will require occasional shift work, weekends, and holidays.

5% travel is required for this position.
