Job summary

JPMorgan Chase's Infrastructure Platforms team is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer III to design and deliver trusted, scalable technology solutions. You will work within an agile team to support secure, stable infrastructure across servers, networking, and databases hosting critical API Gateways.

The role emphasizes observability, automation, and cross-team collaboration to reduce operational toil while advancing capacity planning and performance.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands on experience on Operations and SRE of Infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking, databases, storage, deployment, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance.
• Observability, SLA and SLO thinking.
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python).
• Experience with multiple cloud technologies across public and private clouds.
• Willingness to expand infrastructure knowledge across domains and automation.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and managing a large scale infrastructure of servers, network and databases hosting the API Gateway Platforms
• Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
• Finding opportunity for converting operational problems into a software solution
• Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
• Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
• Drives the daily activities supporting the standard infrastructure and the capacity process around it
• Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses
• Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications
• Be accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications

As a InfrastructureEngineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

• Strong knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
• Experience with multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
• Drives to develop infrastructure engineering knowledge of additional domains, data fluency, and automation knowledge
