Job summary

Talentify is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer in Vacaville, CA, to provide System Administration and infrastructure design for MCS, DCS, and QC systems. The role involves supporting manufacturing and QC operations, backups, audits, and patch management.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure solutions and ensure continuous operation of production systems. On-call support may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide System Administration, Infrastructure design and support for MCS, DCS, and site QC systems.
• Support routine user management activities for manufacturing and QC systems.
• Support routine backup/restore/archival activities for production automation and QC systems.
• Support routine data retention, review audit trails, and patching for manufacturing and QC systems.
• Assist Senior/Principal System Engineers to maintain system availability and support infrastructure components, including firewalls and antivirus software.
• Collaborate with project teams and outside groups to implement right-the-first-time solutions.
• Assist in resolving automation and QC system issues including cause analysis and CAPAs.
• Assist with infrastructure testing, debugging, and startup activities.
• Troubleshoot and support CCP1, CCP2, PLC and Site QC system issues, including on-call support.
• Support break-fix issues and problem resolution.
• Assist project leads in reviewing requirements, scope, design documents and drawings.
• Provide input for investigations and corrective action plans to support ongoing manufacturing.

Scope

• Provide support and technical contribution for the Process Automation Systems Distributed Control System (DCS), Manufacturing Control System (MCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Building Automation System (Client) and site manufacturing and Quality Control (QC) systems.
• Provide support to other business and information management related infrastructure for manufacturing and QC operations.
• Provide support to senior system engineers in executing projects in support of the Automation and QC roadmap focusing on Infrastructure, vendor software integrations and custom applications used in manufacturing and QC operations.

Role Duties

• Provide System Administration, Infrastructure design and support for the MCS, DCS, and site QC systems.
• Provide support to routine user management activities for manufacturing and QC systems.
• Provide support to routine backup/restore/archival activities for production automation and site QC systems.
• Provide support for routine data retention, review audit trails, and patching for manufacturing and QC systems.
• Assist Senior/Principal System Engineers to maintain system availability and support infrastructure components, including firewalls and antivirus software.
• Work with project teams and outside groups including manufacturing, engineering, process science, validation and quality assurance personnel to implement right the first time solutions.
• Support the resolution of automation and QC system issues including cause analysis, issue resolution, unplanned event assessments, CAPAs, and investigation.
• Assist with Infrastructure (Production and QC) testing, debug, and startup activities.
• Perform troubleshooting and provide support for Cell Culture Plant 1 (CCP1), Cell Culture Plant 2 (CCP2), PLC and Site QC system and software issues, including on- call / after-hours support (as required).
• Support and resolve and break-fix issues.
• Support project lead and/or Senior automation personal for development review and approval of requirements documents, scope definition documents, design documents and drawings.
• Provide support for ongoing manufacturing by evaluating discrepancies, taking authorized discrepancy additional actions, providing technical input for investigation and/or developing and implementing corrective action plans.
