Job summary

Amplemarket is seeking an experienced engineer to scale its AI-powered cloud platform for high availability and performance. You will work with product engineers to design reliable feature rollouts, review code and architectural proposals, and build automations for urgent infrastructure needs.

You'll proactively identify bottlenecks, improve observability, and ensure security-minded fixes while contributing to ongoing development process improvements across the team.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and maintaining complex, large systems.
• Edge cases, failure modes, bottlenecks, migrations, releases, and metrics mindset.
• Love debugging and root-causing production issues.
• Proactive about fixing broken systems or improvements.
• Ensure systems have sufficient metrics to verify operation.

• Scale Amplemarket’s core cloud platform for high availability and performance
• Detect blindspots and add observability to mitigate them
• Work closely with product engineers to design reliable rollouts of new features
• Review code and proposals and participate in architectural discussions
• Build reproducible automations for the most urgent infrastructure needs
• Define solutions to save internal teams time when moving code to production
• Keep on top of potential threats and patches with a security-first mindset
• Participate in the continuous improvement of the development process and workflow

Requirements

• Experience designing and maintaining complex, large, growing systems
• Naturally think about edge cases, failure modes, bottlenecks, migrations, releases, and metrics
• Love debugging and finding root causes of production issues
• Proactive about fixing broken systems or suggesting improvements
• Ensure systems have enough metrics to verify everything is working properly
• Based somewhere between the GMT-3 and GMT+2 timezones
