Northstrat, a GRVTY company, is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to orchestrate OTA software deployments to globally fielded systems in a potentially degraded, disconnected environment. You will automate deployment and security, monitor health remotely to preempt failures, and reduce the need for travel while increasing fleet availability.

The role is hands‑on and security‑focused in a hybrid on‑premises and cloud setup.

Qualifications

• DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
• CompTIA Security+ or better.
• 5+ years in network engineering and systems administration.
• Experience with virtualization platforms.
• Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
• Troubleshoot across network and system layers.
• Hands-on with Cisco networking equipment.

Responsibilities

• Own DevSecOps for OTA deployments and security hardening.
• Write Dockerfiles, build hardened images, manage clusters.
• RBAC, networking, troubleshooting, and system monitoring.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Automate tasks with Bash, Python, or Ansible; backups and DR.
• Monitor performance and production issues; ensure network health.
• Manage VLANs, routing (BGP/EIGRP), and switching; firewall policies.

Job description

Northstrat a GRVTY company, is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to orchestrate and execute over the air (OTA) software deployments to globally fielded systems in a potentially degraded, disconnected, intermittent, and limited (DDIL) connectivity environment. This engineer will be responsible for automating the deployment and security of software, reducing the need for FSR travel while increasing the operational availability of the fleet. Once the software is live, the infrastructure engineer will monitor its health remotely to preempt failures that could impact mission The ideal candidate will be hands‑on, security-focused, and comfortable operating in a hybrid on‑premises and cloud environment

What You'll be Owning

• Troubleshoot and maintain enterprise network infrastructure
• Manage VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP), and switching technologies
• Maintain network segmentation and security controls
• Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
• Monitor network health and performance using SNMP and other tools
• Maintain firewall policies and intrusion prevention systems 1

What You Must Have

• A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required
• CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) or better
• Must have 5+ years of experience in network engineering and systems administration
• Experience with virtualization platforms
• Knowledge of network security principles and best practices
• Must have the ability to troubleshoot across network and system layers
• Strong hands‑on experience with Cisco networking equipment

What Would be Nice to Have

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or better
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet)
• Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Scripting experience (Python, Bash)
