Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Own DevSecOps tasks: Dockerfiles, hardened images, and cluster operations.
  • Manage RBAC, networking, and troubleshooting across layers.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
  • Automate tasks with Bash, Python, or Ansible; backups and DR planning.
  • Monitor health and preempt production issues; manage VLANs and routing.

Job description

Northstrat, a GRVTY company is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to orchestrate and execute over the air (OTA) software deployments to globally fielded systems in a potentially degraded, disconnected, intermittent, and limited (DDIL) connectivity environment. This engineer will be responsible for automating the deployment and security of software, reducing the need for FSR travel while increasing the operational availability of the fleet. Once the software is live, the infrastructure engineer will monitor its health remotely to preempt failures that could impact mission The ideal candidate will be hands‑on, security-focused, and comfortable operating in a hybrid on-premises and cloud environment.

  • Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
  • Monitor network health and performance using SNMP and other tools
  • Maintain firewall policies and intrusion prevention systems 1
What You Must Have
  • A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required
  • CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) or better
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in network engineering and systems administration
  • Experience with virtualization platforms
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practices
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot across network and system layers
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Cisco networking equipment
What Would be Nice to Have
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or better
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet)
  • Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Scripting experience (Python, Bash)
