Job summary

360 IDE in Florida seeks a Principal Infrastructure Engineer to provide technical leadership across Red Hat Linux, VMware virtualization, and automation platforms. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of enterprise infrastructure engineering experience.
• 5+ years in an infrastructure architecture or technical leadership role.
• Expert knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Expert knowledge of VMware virtualization (ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, DRS, HA, vMotion, NSX, vSAN).
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise infrastructure automation solutions.
• Hands-on experience building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or equivalents.
• Strong experience designing automated infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Experience using Git-based source control and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise virtualization environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern enterprise architecture standards for RHEL, VMware virtualization, and infrastructure automation.

• Architect highly available, secure, and scalable enterprise infrastructure platforms.

• Establish RHEL platform standards for lifecycle management, patching, security hardening, image management and compliance.

• Design automated provisioning for VMs, OS, storage, networking, and infrastructure services.
• Build reusable automation frameworks, templates, and self-service provisioning capabilities.

• Collaborate with cloud, storage, networking, security, identity, and operations teams to automate end-to-end delivery.
• Assess emerging infrastructure technologies and provide strategic recommendations.

• Create enterprise reference architectures, technical standards, and operational best practices.
• Mentor engineering teams and promote automation and CI/CD adoption.

Job Title: Principal Infrastructure Engineer

Senior IT Architect – Red Hat Linux, VMware & Infrastructure Automation

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior IT Architect to provide technical leadership and architectural direction across enterprise Red Hat Linux, VMware virtualization, and infrastructure automation platforms. This role will establish technology standards, drive infrastructure modernization, and build an automation-first operating model for secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure delivery.

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise across enterprise compute, virtualization, Linux, Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and DevOps. This position will act as a technical authority while working closely with cloud, networking, storage, security, identity, operations, and application engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and govern enterprise architecture standards for RHEL, VMware virtualization, and infrastructure automation.
• Establish technology roadmaps covering enterprise compute, virtualization, automation, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Architect highly available, resilient, secure, and scalable enterprise infrastructure platforms.
• Lead architecture and engineering for VMware ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, NSX, vSAN, and VMware Cloud Foundation environments.
• Establish RHEL platform standards covering OS lifecycle management, patching, security hardening, image management, and compliance.
• Drive enterprise Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform and related automation technologies.
• Design automated provisioning solutions for virtual machines, operating systems, storage, networking, and infrastructure services.
• Build reusable automation frameworks, standardized templates, and self-service infrastructure provisioning capabilities.
• Define engineering standards and governance for Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform Enterprise, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Partner with cloud, storage, networking, security, identity, and operations teams to automate end-to-end infrastructure delivery.
• Assess emerging infrastructure and automation technologies and provide recommendations for strategic adoption.
• Lead architecture reviews, infrastructure modernization, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Create enterprise reference architectures, technical standards, engineering documentation, and operational best practices.
