Job summary

HMG AMERICA LLC seeks an experienced Infrastructure/Software Engineer hybrid across Bellevue, WA and other U.S. locations. The role focuses on designing and delivering scalable Terraform-based infrastructure with strong cloud, networking, and security fundamentals.

You will own state management, multi-cloud patterns, and integration with CI/CD workflows, while communicating decisions clearly to a distributed team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of general software/infrastructure engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Terraform experience, including designing module architecture from scratch.
• Ability to deliver a finished, production-ready solution with limited guidance.
• Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong grasp of Terraform state management, workspaces, remote backends, and collaboration patterns at scale.
• Experience with CI/CD for infrastructure (Atlantis, Terraform Cloud/Enterprise, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with policy-as-code (Sentinel, OPA/Conftest) and automated testing for infrastructure (Terratest or similar).
• Solid understanding of networking, security groups/IAM, and cloud cost optimization.
• Excellent written communication — able to document decisions for a distributed/remote team.

Location- Bellevue, WA / Dallas, TX / Atlanta, GA / Overland Park, KS (Hybrid)

What We're Looking For:

• 10+ years of general software/infrastructure engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Terraform experience, including designing module architecture from scratch (not just consuming existing modules).
• Demonstrated ability to take a request or requirement and deliver a finished, production-ready solution with limited guidance or hand-holding.
• Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP); multi-cloud experience a plus.
• Strong grasp of Terraform state management, workspaces, remote backends, and collaboration patterns at scale.
• Experience with CI/CD for infrastructure (e.g., Atlantis, Terraform Cloud/Enterprise, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with policy-as-code (Sentinel, OPA/Conftest) and automated testing for infrastructure (Terratest or similar).

Nice to Have:
