Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects seeks a senior structural engineer to lead on-site architectural and structural reviews for educational facilities. You will evaluate proposed plans, ensure compliance with district standards, and coordinate with design teams and external consultants at client sites.

Required: bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, 10 years of relevant experience, and valid CA PE licenses.

• Comments on adherence to District standards and quality of documentation.
• Contribute to development and maintenance of design guidelines and standards.
• Update and maintain policies for district educational facility design and electrical specs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering and CA licenses required.
• Minimum 10 years of full-time professional structural engineering experience.

• You'll perform technical review of proposed structural plans and specifications submitted by District personnel, consultant staff, or commissioned architects and engineers for construction projects
• You'll provide review comments regarding adherence to District standards, quality of development and documentation of structural design, coordination with other disciplines, and other technical issues as required.
• You'll provide comments, lessons learned and research to support the development and maintenance of the District’s Design Guidelines including the School Design Guide, Educational Specifications, Guide Technical Specifications, and Standard Technical Drawings for the Facilities Services Division.
• You'll provide comments and lessons learned to update and maintain District policies and guides for the design of educational facilities and/or District construction electrical specifications to assure conformance to building codes and safety requirements and to improve the quality and economy of construction, maintenance, and operation.
• You'll coordinate activities with those of other units of Design and A/E Technical Support and other District organizations.
• You'll perform other duties as assigned.
• Onsite at client site:The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
• Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in StructuralEngineering or related field
• Ten (10) years full time paid professional experience in structural engineering planning,design, and construction of educational facilities
• Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for up to 2 years of the educationalrequirement, on a year-for-year basis
• A valid CA Professional Engineer license by the State Board for Professional Engineersand Land Surveyors
• A valid CA Structural Engineer license by the State Board for Professional Engineers andLand Surveyors
