Job summary

Qualifications

Infrastructure Automation Engineer (Python and Powershell)
Location Charlotte, NC
Hybrid / Onsite

We’re looking for an engineer who treats infrastructure as software. In this role, you’ll design and build automation that provisions, configures, and manages enterprise infrastructure across on-prem and hybrid cloud environments. You’ll replace manual processes with code, integrate platforms through APIs, and help set the standards the rest of the infrastructure team builds on.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement infrastructure automation using Python, PowerShell, and Terraform
• Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for server, storage, network, and platform deployments
• Develop API-based integrations across enterprise infrastructure platforms and business applications
• Automate system provisioning, configuration, patching, upgrades, and monitoring
• Support hybrid cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments
• Define standard build, installation, and upgrade methodologies, and document them clearly
• Evaluate new tools and technologies and recommend improvements to operations
• Act as a technical resource for IT staff, and coordinate upgrades with other IT teams and business units

What You Bring

• Advanced hands-on experience with Python, PowerShell, Terraform, and Linux
• Strong background in coding for enterprise infrastructure platforms, not just scripting one-off tasks
• Solid understanding of core infrastructure: servers, storage, networking, and platform services
• Experience building API integrations and automating provisioning and configuration at scale
• Hybrid cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure (preferred)
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field plus several years of relevant experience, or 8+ years of equivalent experience
• The ability to explain technically complex topics to senior leadership and non-technical audiences
• A self-starter who works independently, prioritizes well, and knows when to raise an issue
