Job summary

A leading IT consulting firm is seeking an Infrastructure Architecture Lead for a 12+ month contract position based in Research Triangle, NC. The role involves managing the infrastructure and application environments for the North Carolina NCFAST Program, requiring expertise in AIX architectures, networking, and high availability concepts. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential. Candidates must be available for evening and weekend support as needed. Excellent compensation and referral bonuses are offered.

Responsibilities

• Manage the programs’ infrastructure and application environments.
• Develop requirements and evaluate competing technical solutions.
• Manage system events and outages effectively through resolution.

Skills

Understanding and use of AIX architectures and hardware

Experience with networking and firewall concepts and operations

Experience with SAN technology

Experience with SOA and integration architectures utilizing Enterprise Service Bus frameworks

Experience with Oracle specific database architectures

Experience with high availability concepts and implementations

Experience with application performance monitoring tools

Experience with OS and software maintenance

Understanding and experience with the State of NC DIT hosting model

Strong written and verbal analytical and communication skills
