Job summary

TUV SUD America invites a Thermographic Consultant to join our teams across Kentucky and Tennessee, performing on-site infrared surveys on electrical, mechanical, and process systems using advanced IR cameras. You will interpret complex diagrams and deliver reports with actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance/Reliability Technician or Commercial Electrician.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
• Certified Infrared Thermographer.
• Certified Ultrasound Operator.
• Military technical background in electrical or infrared systems.
• Proficiency with infrared software and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct infrared thermographic surveys on electrical, mechanical, and process systems using IR cameras and condition monitoring tools.
• Analyze and interpret high-level electrical diagrams and manufacturing process drawings.
• Deliver clear and timely Infrared Survey Reports with actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with client site personnel and TUV SUD/GRC teams to assess system health and risks.
• Travel extensively across Kentucky & Tennessee to perform on-site inspections.
• Maintain high standards of safety and compliance with PPE and site‑specific protocols.
