Job description

Since 1981, Asplundh Electrical Testing Co., LLC (AET) has been a national provider of substation commissioning, acceptance testing, and maintenance services to electrical transmission, distribution, and generation clients, as well as large users of electrical power. AET has evolved into a successful industry leader and one of the largest independent electrical testing companies in North America. AET is NETA (International Electrical Testing Association) certified and maintains full member status.

We maintain a staff of highly trained engineers and technicians offering project management, value-added engineering, design, power system studies, and complete field-testing services for electrical power systems and equipment from low voltage through extra high voltage.

Job Description

Position Type: Full-time

Primary Duties Include:
  1. Perform visual and infrared inspection of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.
  2. Open live electrical equipment to expose energized connections.
  3. Cooperate with client personnel on the client site.
  4. Advise clients on techniques to mitigate issues uncovered during the inspection.
  5. Complete test reports in a timely fashion.
  6. Arrive to work on time and maintain a positive attendance record.
  7. Perform any other duties and projects as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will likely have the following qualities:

  1. Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience performing thermography in medium and high voltage electrical environments.
  2. Impeccable adherence to AET safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective equipment while working.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a proven commitment to safety, collaborative relationship skills, and customer service.
