Job summary

Amazon seeks an InfraDelivery Technician for the Migrations Pooling team in Sterling, VA. You will move and install large enterprise equipment, run fiber and copper cabling, and patch cables between devices, while maintaining safety standards and following established procedures.

Travel to data center sites is required; 18+ months in data centers or similar technical roles are expected, with relevant certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 18+ months of experience in data center or critical environment or similar technical roles: computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, data center operations.
• 18+ months of experience with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment (VFL, power meter, OTDR, etc.).
• Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.

Responsibilities

Physical Requirements

• All physical requirements are expected with reasonable accommodations.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in a 24/7 environment with ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed.

Essential Requirements

• Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed.
• Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until assigned facility is operational.
• Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and operational status of assigned facility.
• Candidates must be able to travel (over 50 miles) or commute (less than 50 miles) to active data center sites as required by business needs.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional or military experience in an IT‑related field (e.g., computer science, network engineering, etc.).
• Certifications in a relevant field (CCENT, Network+, CCNA).
• Behavioral interviewing and hiring experience.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

The base salary range for this position is $30.00 – $54.00 USD hourly (USA, VA, Sterling). Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
