Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking an Infrastructure Cable Technician for on-site work in Pensacola, FL. The role coordinates, monitors, and services technical environments, performing installations and integration tasks.

Requirements include 2+ years in cable-infrastructure installation, familiarity with BICSI standards, and experience with copper/fiber cabling in enterprise settings; coordination of third-party cabling projects and robust documentation are expected.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of experience in cable-infrastructure installation.
• Familiarity with BICSI standards and related certifications.
• Experience installing and supporting structured cabling in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and arrange materials and equipment.
• Review service orders, drawings, specs and installation instructions.
• Run, pull, terminate, and splice copper and fiber-optic cabling.
• Install and mount telecommunications equipment per standards and best practices.
• Install and support network infrastructure components (routers, hubs, switches, racks).
• Install access-control systems, cameras, and wireless access points.
• Select and verify cable pathways.
• Assist with cabling standards design and implementation.
• Oversee cabling projects by third-party contractors.
• Maintain documentation of the cabling infrastructure.
• Install cable-support systems and pull network cabling through pathways.
• Test and troubleshoot copper and fiber-optic installations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
