Job summary

Honda South Carolina Manufacturing seeks an Infotainment UX Engineer to shape the user experience of in-vehicle infotainment systems. You will conduct and apply research to define features and designs that meet customer needs with high quality.

You will assess user data, specify UI requirements, and verify implementations in both test setups and vehicles, while mentoring junior teammates and contributing to cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, HCI, UX Design, Engineering, Psychology, Product Development or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of demonstratable experience in a similar role in the industry.
• Experience conducting user-centered research and product benchmarking.
• Prototyping GUI tools such as Figma, Protopie, Axure or Kanzi is preferred.
• Excellent communication and ability to present findings.

Responsibilities

• Research and report the user experience of current and future infotainment products.
• Analyze user data to understand customer needs for infotainment displays, information, and controls.
• Identify critical requirements for infotainment system components to meet customer demands.
• Propose modifications and write reports, presentations, and technical documents.
• Oversee the creation of UI specifications and verify implementation in test setups and vehicles.
• Mentor newer associates in best practices.
