Job summary

Capital One is seeking a hands-on security leader to consult on initiatives, programs, and projects, raising our game in information security and risk management. You will collaborate across teams, leverage cloud services, containers, APIs, DevOps, and AI-assisted tools to rapidly prototype and improve security solutions.

You will influence development to shift security left and communicate risk to executives.

Qualifications

Experience advising on cybersecurity concepts and risk.
Ability to perform security risk assessments and architecture reviews.
Experience in architecture design, software design, networking or cloud infra.

Responsibilities

Act as central point of contact for information security across the business.
Coordinate proactive information security consulting with technology teams.
Leverage AI-assisted tools to prototype and build security solutions and automations.
Serve as expert on Capital One information security capabilities, policies and standards.
Influence internal teams to shift security left in development processes.
Escalate and manage cyber security risk and provide updates to leadership.
Support on special information security topics for the business.
Collaborate with leadership to anticipate objectives and needs.
