Job summary

IEEE is seeking a Manager, Information Security (TVM) to lead a technically proficient team while acting as a hands-on engineer and project/people manager. You will oversee Threat & Vulnerability Management, coordinate incidents, and drive automation across SOAR, SIEM, and EDR.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of progressive experience within Information Security or Cybersecurity
• 2-4 years readiness for first-tier management of direct people and project management experience
• ISACA CISM or (ISC)² CISSP or equivalent senior-level architecture certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee Threat & Vulnerability Management systems, technologies, processes, and reporting.
• Tune and manage SIEM and EDR platforms.
• Coordinate data collection during security incidents; support Incident Commander.
• Integrate threat intelligence feeds and IoCs to strengthen defenses.
• Develop and automate IR playbooks using SOAR concepts.
• Lead threat modeling and security posture of AI/ML systems.
• Drive enterprise vulnerability scanning and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with system owners on risk evaluation and compensating controls.
• Create, document, and maintain SOPs for TVM workflows.
• Translate security risks for IT leadership; drive cross-department alignment.
• Roll out new security vendor products from PoC to enterprise deployment.
• Lead projects with milestones, SLAs, and MTTR metrics for TVM.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing engineering team.
