Job summary

Peraton seeks an Information System Security Manager to support Peraton Labs’ information assurance and IT operations from the Basking Ridge, New Jersey office. This full-time role is on-site and focuses on security controls, RMF packages, and continuous monitoring across multiple programs.

The ISSM will lead ATO processes, coordinate with ISO/PMs, and ensure compliance with DoD 8570 IAM Level III, NIST SP 800-53 Rev4/Rev5, and related standards. A TS clearance is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of information security or IA experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; additional experience considered in lieu of education.
• CISSP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience with DARPA and SAP assessments/authorizations.
• 5+ years in ATO, continuous monitoring, POA&Ms, and Security Authorizations.
• 3+ years Linux administration (Ubuntu/RedHat).
• Experience with SCAP, STIGs, and compliance tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work with stakeholders.
• Active TS clearance with ability to obtain SCI.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage information assurance efforts across environments in Basking Ridge, NJ.
• Perform ISSM roles per DAAG, JSIG, ICD-503 and applicable regs.
• Create and maintain RMF packages, A&A, SCRs, etc.
• Prepare and update required documentation per templates and regulations.
• Meet continuous monitoring: backups, AV updates, patching, vulnerability scanning.
• Manage vulnerabilities, remediation, and security log monitoring.
• Generate POA&Ms for non-compliant controls and maintain them lifecycle-wide.
• Oversee Linux and Microsoft classified systems; assist with builds and troubleshooting.
• Apply security controls per DoD guidance and customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and Linux-related issues; assist stakeholders.
• Support incident response, self-inspection, and inventory efforts.
• Track deployment of software/hardware to classified environments.
• Provide security requirements across system lifecycles; respond to requests.
