Job summary

Verisign is seeking a hands-on technical manager to join our Information Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team. You will support an enterprise-wide program focusing on control assurance, risk management, policies and standards, and automated testing.

This role requires leading a team, coordinating with engineering and leadership, and delivering clear governance reporting. It is based in Reston, VA with a hybrid schedule and offers a strong compensation package.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in information security governance, risk, compliance or security assessment/audit.
• 4+ years of security control assessment experience.
• 2+ years of leading or managing others.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information systems, computer science, or related field.
• Professional security certifications preferred (CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC).

Responsibilities

• Manage a security control assurance program, including planning and executing test procedures and driving remediation.
• Oversee compliance with external regulatory obligations and coordinate information requests.
• Build a continuous control monitoring program with automated tests.
• Collaborate with engineering to design and improve security controls and define implementation requirements.
• Report on compliance, risk trends, and remediation priorities to leadership with clear dashboards.
• Assist with enterprise information security policies and standards.
• Lead a team of practitioners, setting priorities and quality standards.
