At The Urban Electric Co., we make it our mission to recruit and retain highly skilled and passionate individuals. Because we have a genuine respect for the talents and story of every member of our team, our culture attracts a wide variety of personalities and backgrounds to create an eclectic and fun atmosphere. Each of our company’s products is bench-made and hand-finished at our 180,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Charleston, which houses the talented engineers, sales and marketing professionals, designers, and craftsmen who make up our team. We pride ourselves on manufacturing processes that secure the growth and sustainability of artisanal craft for the future by using modern techniques that enhance and refine the hand-build approach as opposed to replacing it.
As an IT Specialist at UECo, you keep the people who build our products working. You fix the problem in front of you, then dig until you find what caused it. You write down what you learned so the next person can solve it on their own. You can walk an engineer through a new laptop setup in the morning and help a craftsman on the production floor get back into their account after lunch. You know when a problem needs to be escalated, and you hand it off with an actionable write-up. You treat your coworkers as internal clients and close what you start.
End User Support:
Diagnose root cause rather than clearing the symptom, and elevate with a clear write-up when required.
Troubleshoot the ERP and partner with the Software Development team on application issues.
Support SSO, MFA, and guest access requests under policy set by the IT Ops team.
Write and maintain configuration documentation and knowledgebase articles end users can follow on their own.

While we are world-renowned for the way we take care of our clients, we are even more purposeful with how we care for each other. We love what we do, who we are, what we represent, and who we will become - and importantly, we thrive on the creative energy of a team that challenges and supports each other to achieve what's not thought possible.
