Job summary

Drip Depot Inc is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our in-house technology stack that powers our storefront, warehouse, and business operations. The role is hands-on (about 90%) with a focus on architecture, system reliability, and team mentorship.

You will own features end-to-end—from database to UI—while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that meet high standards for security and performance.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience developing production web applications.
  • 3+ years of management or leadership experience leading technical teams.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/jQuery and experience with modern UI frameworks.
  • Experience with backend development in any language (Perl knowledge a plus, but we value strong fundamentals and the ability to learn)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and participate in architecture decisions and tech stack improvement.
  • Manage and mentor a small technical team with code reviews and professional development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, security best practices, and cybersecurity standards.
  • Build web applications using Kendo UI with complex data grids, forms, and dashboards.
  • Oversee backend services (Perl/Mojolicious, PostgREST) for robust API development.
  • Design and optimize a PostgreSQL database with multiple schemas and advanced features.
  • Contribute to e-commerce platform development including storefronts and warehouse systems.

IT ManagerAbout the Role:We build everything ourselves—no off-the-shelf compromises. Our systems run our storefront, our warehouse, and our business, and they're designed exactly the way we want them. We're looking for an experienced IT Manager who combines deep technical expertise with proven people management skills to help lead that effort.This is a reporting-to-the-CTO, hands-on role: roughly 90% technical work and 10% team management.
