The IT Manager serves as a key leader responsible for the direction, coordination, and continuous improvement of the cooperative’s technology environment. Based at UCEMC’s Corporate Office in Carthage, this position provides leadership over the systems, infrastructure, and technology resources that support daily operations across the organization.
This role oversees network, hardware, software, database, cyber security, and communications systems while also helping shape the cooperative’s long‑term technology strategy. The IT Manager partners with leadership to assess infrastructure and operational needs, evaluate alternatives, develop practical recommendations, and guide technology decisions that support service, security, efficiency, and reliability.
The IT Manager leads annual technology goal setting, capital planning, disaster recovery planning, and the development and enforcement of IT standards related to hardware, software, cyber security, office productivity tools, internet access, security, and change management. This position also oversees the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of local and wide‑area network hardware and software and helps ensure technology resources are aligned with organizational priorities.
This is an opportunity for a thoughtful, service‑minded leader who can balance day‑to‑day operational oversight with strategic thinking, sound judgment, and continuous improvement. The position reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Member and Community Engagement and requires travel to UCEMC district locations in Carthage, Gainesboro, Livingston, and Cookeville.
