Job summary

RedTrace Technologies is seeking an Information Technology/Assurance Specialist I to support DoD SAP and SCI activities at Beale AFB, on-site in California. The role focuses on security, configuration control, and cyber defense across DoD networks while coordinating authorization packages and incident response.

Qualifications include a relevant degree with years of related experience and preferred SAP or systems administration background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years related experience, or Associate with 4 years, or HS/GED with 6 years related experience
• SAP Experience is Desired
• Prior performance as System or Network Administrator
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012R2, Exchange Server 2010/2016, Windows 7/10 OS administration and related hardware
• Working knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies and data backup including COMSEC integration
• Working knowledge of RMF, Common Criteria, and System Security Policy related to Assessments and Authorizations
• Working knowledge and current experience with PL2 systems
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Establish complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for assigned computer systems
• Maintain file servers, Firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems and documentation
• Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies for optimum performance
• Prepare system for operational use and support tests
• Review, prepare, and update authorization packages
• Notify customer of changes affecting accreditation
• Conduct cybersecurity portion of self-inspections checklist
• Provide coordination on all bodies of evidence for authorization packages
• Identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures
• Ensure information systems and network appliances are operated and disposed of per security policies
• Perform VTC system administration, scheduling, and configuration
• Provide External Information System(s) Client Support
• Perform account creations, changes, deletions on multiple authorization boundaries
• Perform Help Desk & troubleshooting activities
• Perform hardware/software system configuration, upgrades and modifications
• Patch network and system appliances
• Provide Government-Issued Laptop Support
• Assist in Media Control & Accountability activities
• Perform COMSEC account/equipment management

The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,000–$100,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience, geographic location, contractual requirements, and other relevant business considerations. The final salary may fall outside the stated range.

Position Description:

The primary function is working within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Military Compartments efforts. The position will provide “day-to-day” support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.

We are seeking an Information Technology/Assurance Specialist I to carry out the following duties and responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2012R2 Server, Microsoft Exchange Server 2010/2016, Microsoft Windows 7/10 operating systems (OS) administration and associated hardware
• Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies to include communication security (COMSEC) integration
• Working knowledge of Risk Management Framework, Common Criteria, and System Security Policy as they relate to Assessments and Authorizations
• Working knowledge and current relevant experience with PL2 systems
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
