GMRE is a veteran-owned engineering services company seeking a Scientist/Engineer to apply analytical techniques, solve problems, and define system requirements. The role includes research and development and planning for future technologies within a small team.

The position requires 3–10 years of experience at Level 3, a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant discipline, and an active U.S. Top Secret clearance. Some travel and background checks are part of the process.

JOB SUMMARY

The Scientist and Engineer labor category is comprised of Analysts, Engineers, and Scientists with knowledge and skills to apply a variety of analytical techniques to formulate and solve problems; plan for future technologies; conduct research and development; and define requirements for systems. Specific knowledge and expertise may be required in specialized engineering fields.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Level 3 - This skill level requires 3 to 10 years of experience and a bachelor's or master's degree in the applicable discipline. This skill level typically performs all functional duties independently.

SECURITY CLEARANCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a minimum of an active U.S. TOP SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
• Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver's license is required.
• Do you have the ability to pass a background check to be granted access to the specific working location installation bases to perform work for GMRE? (Pertains to Technical Services positions)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
