Job summary

Archer, in partnership with TekSynap, seeks an Information Systems Security Officer to lead RMF/A&A, risk assessments, and continuous monitoring for COMSEC IT services supporting DoS. You will develop and maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, and coordinate with government security teams.

Requires active TS/SCI, 5+ years in cybersecurity, and FedRAMP/NIST 800-53 experience. Hybrid work in Springfield, VA with potential evenings/weekends as needed to meet program needs.

We are seeking Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for the Department of State COMSEC IT Services contract.

The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) will provide cybersecurity, Risk Management Framework, Assessment and Authorization, continuous monitoring, and security-control support for COMSEC information systems.

The PWS specifically includes ISSO, RMF/A&A, GRC, continuous monitoring, security plans, POA&Ms, vulnerability management, and NIST 800-series requirements.

Experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with NIST 800-53.
• FedRAMP experience.
• Experience with security control lifecycles.
• Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations. Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape, is highly desirable.

Certifications

• Security+ certification (DoD 8570 IAT Level II)

• CISSP or similar certification within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• RMF and A&A experience in Federal environments.
• Experience supporting classified systems.
• Experience with GRC tools, Splunk, ServiceNow, or related platforms.

• Support security reviews and system changes.
• Coordinate with Government security organizations and technical teams.
• Support FedRAMP-related requirements where applicable.
• Assist with security risk assessments and corrective-action planning

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $150,000 - $200,000. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
