Job summary

CACI is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our security engineering team and work across DoD on-premise and cloud environments. You will apply STIGs, manage vulnerabilities, and implement PAM controls, collaborating with GRC, operations, and architecture teams.

You will gain hands-on experience with STIGviewer, SCAP, Tenable, and CyberArk, with mentorship and growth toward senior engineering roles within a trusted national security context.

Qualifications

• Active Secret or TS clearance.
• 3–5 years of security engineering or system-hardening experience.
• Hands-on experience with STIGviewer and SCAP Compliance Checker.
• Working experience with Tenable SC or similar vulnerability management platforms.
• Strong knowledge of secure configuration management principles.
• DoD 8140.03M DCWF Basic Tier: CEH.
• DoD 8140 Interim Education Options.

Responsibilities

• Implement and document STIG configurations across assigned systems and platforms.
• Conduct Security Impact Analyses (SIAs) for proposed changes.
• Run automated configuration validation using SCAP Compliance Checker.
• Manage vulnerability tracking and remediation workflows within Tenable SC.
• Evaluate cloud infrastructure security posture using Tenable Cloud Security.
• Support CyberArk PAM setup and privileged access management.
• Create and maintain secure configuration baselines.
• Write detailed technical security control implementation guides.
• Partner with the Cybersecurity Architect on technical security implementations.

The Opportunity:

Step into a hands‑on security engineering role where you will work across a dynamic mix of on‑premise and cloud DoD environments. You will build deep mastery in STIG compliance, vulnerability management, and PAM security—while developing a powerful technical toolkit using STIGviewer, SCAP, Tenable, and CyberArk. • Exposure to DoD cloud environments (IL2–IL6)
• DoD 8140.03M DCWF Intermediate Tier—one of the following: CEH(P), RCCE Level 1, Cloud+, CPTE, FITSP‑A, GCED, GCIH, GCSA, GICSP, GSEC, PenTest+, or Security+
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200-$158,100
