Job summary

Cornerstone Defense seeks an Information Systems Security Engineer to support client security needs within the defense sector. You will define security requirements, advise on cybersecurity programs, and oversee ATO, A&A, UAM, and SSP development.

Responsibilities include automating security testing and delivering vulnerability and privileged-user reports. The position requires 4–7 years of relevant experience, TS/SCI with Poly to apply, and collaboration with engineering teams in an Agile

Qualifications

• 4-7 years' experience with application security standards and processes.
• Experience with Accreditation & Authorization (A&A), including documentation, POAMs, and remediation.
• Knowledge of application and data security requirements for authorities to operate systems (ATD, ATO) such as encryption, role-based security, information assurance, and monitoring/auditing/reporting.
• Coordination with engineering teams to implement security requirements.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead for automated security testing efforts leveraging Sponsors enterprise scanning tools.
• Responsible for creation and delivery of the monthly vulnerability scans.
• Responsible for creation and delivery of the monthly privileged users and admin report.
• Overall lead for ensuring systems are secure by protecting data and enforcing need-to-know access.
• Responsible for working with the Tech team on creating any necessary POAMs.
• Helps PM with the Contract Security Plan.
• Works with PM and Sponsors ISSM and INFOSEC Program Council as necessary.
• Authors and maintains the SSP for A&A.
• Provides required security education and plan to sponsor for the program.
