Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to secure complex systems, ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks, and protect sensitive information.

Duties include vulnerability management with Tenable and Nessus, security assessments of large-scale cloud environments, and risk analysis and management across enclaves with varied data protection requirements.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of ISSE experience on similar programs.
• DoD 8570.01-M compliance with IASAE Level 2.
• CISSP certification required and will be verified during interview or offer process.

Job description

Responsibilities

As an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), you will play a key role in securing complex systems, ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks, and protecting sensitive information.

Duties will include:

• Conduct vulnerability management using enterprise tools including Tenable Security Center, and Nessus scanners
• Perform or review technical security assessments of large-scale cloud based computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Provide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management.
• Perform system or network designs that encompass multiple enclaves, to include those with differing data protection/classification requirements.
• Recommend system-level solutions to resolve security requirements.
• Support the Government in the enforcement of the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph is required
• Fourteen (14) years of experience as an ISSE on similar programs
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline is required. Four (4) years of ISSE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• DoD 8570.01-M compliance with IASAE Level 2 is required.
• CISSP certification is required. Possession of a CISSP certification is required and will be verified as part of the interview or offer process.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
