Job summary

System One seeks an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to coordinate security implementations for development or modification of complex systems onsite at Hanscom AFB, MA. The role requires a Top Secret clearance and a 40-hour work week.

Contract-to-hire with compensation between $180,000 and $195,000 annually. Must have active TS clearance and experience in cryptographic engineering and RMF-based security controls.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required and Top Secret clearance with active status.
• Minimum 10+ years in cyber security or information assurance.
• Experience with cryptographic engineering, DoD/RMF processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate system security implementations for development or modification of systems.
• Provide security SME support for acquisitions and documentation per Cybersecurity standards.
• Assist with system assessment, A&A, and COMSEC Certification.
• Support design, development, implementation, and integration of cybersecurity architectures.
• Serve as PMO security expert on assigned systems, covering IA protections.
• Conduct technical reviews and audits to support development and testing.

Job Title: Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)
Location: Hanscom AFB, MA
Type: Contract To Hire

Hours: 40 hrs a week.
Security Clearance: Must have active Top Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Assist in the coordination of system security implementation and processes for the development or modification of systems.
• Provide subject matter expertise to all acquisitions and security documentation as defined in DODI 8500.01 "Cybersecurity".
• Assist in the system assessment and authorization (A&A) and COMSEC Certification.
• Assist with the design, development, implementation, integration of systems information assurance/cybersecurity and cryptographic architecture.
• Serve as a PMO expert of system security implementation on assigned systems to include IA security protections and requirements.
• Conduct technical and nontechnical reviews and observe audits as necessary to support development and test efforts.

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in cyber security or information assurance including technical experience related to cryptographic engineering architecture, requirements determination, development, and implementation
• Master's degree in a related field
• Must hold one of the following certifications: CISSP, CISM, GSLC, or CCISO
• Experience with security systems engineering involving hardware and software operating systems and application solutions
• Experience with security features and/or vulnerability of various operating systems
• Knowledge of IA vulnerability testing
• Experience with cryptographic development and certification processes in accordance with NSA/CSS policies
• Experience with System Security/Program Protection Implementation on major system developments, knowledge of Program Protection Plan development
• Experience supporting US Government contract proposals as IA/security engineering subject matter expert, and implementation of DoD and Federal security processes
• Knowledge of security control development and maintenance associated A&A documentation IAW RMF
• Must have solid communications skills and be capable of working with all levels of an organization
• Must hold a current Top Secret clearance
