## Information System Security Officer - ISSO (PL)Apply: Eglin AFB, FL: Full time: Posted Yesterday: JR100879**RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of classified Information Systems (IS) and data using Air Force approved network engineering practices, information security standards, and approved industry best practices.* Independently provide cybersecurity support for various test area systems, including real-time computers, standalone systems, and networked systems.* Evaluate approved new technologies prior to implementation within the organizational environment.* Independently provide cybersecurity support for application development, planning, network implementation, systems integration, communication support, computer-communication maintenance, asset management, and security controls.* Develop, maintain, and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), System Security Plans (SSPs), and Approval to Operate (ATO) documentation.* Independently perform security scans using DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure systems security settings and patch levels are compliant.* Independently generate, collect, and preserve IS audit logs in accordance with the SSP and government customer requirements.* Independently monitor and document system changes in accordance with the Configuration Management Policy and the SSP.* Manage media control, including documentation and accountability of all media.* Support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in meeting their duties and responsibilities; assume ISSM responsibilities in the absence of the ISSM. **REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:*** Must hold an active Secret Security Clearance.* Must have a DoW 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification certification (i.e., Security +).* Knowledge and expertise in Cybersecurity requirements, network technologies, and computer security as applied to Department of War (DoW) networks.* Experience developing SOPs and SSPs.* Minimum of 4 years of experience performing all functions. **EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:*** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an applicable discipline.
