Job summary

GDIT is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support a large DoD program at MacDill AFB in Florida. The role focuses on RMF, ATO/POA&M processes, and security engineering across Linux, Windows, and network devices.

The candidate will coordinate with USAF and government staff, develop and review security documentation, conduct vulnerability management, and provide risk-based recommendations to protect critical systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT experience with ISSO responsibilities.
• Must meet DoD RMF requirements and be eligible for IAM Level II.
• Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and staffing of RMF documentation (ATO/ATC/IATT/POA&Ms).
• Produce A&A materials for DoW IT packages by phase, including expiring authorizations.
• Coordinate security design management for build processes across servers, services, and endpoints.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments using STIGs, DISA SCAP, ACAS, and related tools.
• Support security test and evaluation (ST&E) plans.
• Communicate threat information to government leadership and A&A staff to aid risk decisions.
