Job summary

CACI Mission & Engineering Support seeks an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support the Joint Navigation Warfare Center at Kirtland AFB, NM. You will enhance the security posture for DoD, interagency, and coalition partners, protecting sensitive PNT information.

You will assess NAVWAR capabilities, identify vulnerabilities, and develop security tactics to mitigate risks, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical data in contested environments.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Interim Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
  • 10+ years of relevant information security experience.
  • DoD IA regulations, policies, and procedures mandatory.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field required.
  • IAM Level III and CISSP certifications required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ISSO duties per DODI 8500.01 and DODI 8510.01.
  • Maintain security posture across multiple domains/classifications to meet IC/DoD policies.
  • Develop, review and verify self-testing results to validate enclave security requirements.
  • Validate Security Test events or SBSA and resolve issues before events.
  • Prepare RMF accreditation packages using eMASS, XACTA (SSP, RAR, SCTM).
  • Position may require CONUS/OCONUS travel and shift work.

The Opportunity

As a CACI Mission & Engineering Support Information System Security Officer (ISSO) supporting the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC), you will contribute to enhancing the security posture of the Department of Defense, interagency, and coalition partners. Located at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, the JNWC is the DOD's Center of Excellence for Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) and Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) capabilities integration.


In this critical role, you will support the warfighter by providing expert information systems security support to protect sensitive PNT information through the implementation of robust security measures. Your work will directly impact the security of joint planning, Operation Plan (OPLAN) analysis, and the execution of NAVWAR operations across all domains and military operations.


You will play a vital part in assessing the security posture of NAVWAR operational capabilities in contested environments, identifying vulnerabilities, and developing security tactics, techniques, and procedures to mitigate risks. Responsibilities


  • You will perform all Information System Security Officer (ISSO) duties and responsibilities in accordance with DODI 8500.01, DODI 8510.01, U.S. Air Force, and Space Force Policy.

  • You shall ensure the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for the information system (IS) across multiple security domains and classifications to meet Intelligence Community (IC), DoD, and Air Force/Space Force cybersecurity/information assurance regulations and policies.

  • You will develop, review, evaluate, and verify self-testing results to validate enclave security requirements in accordance with applicable IC, DoD, and Army cybersecurity and Information Assurance (IA) regulations, policies, and organizational security policies.

  • You shall perform validation steps, compare actual and expected results and analyzing differences to identify impact and risks, resolve issues before formal Security Test events or Site-Based Security Assessments (SBSA).

  • You will ensure Army IS cybersecurity-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals. You shall prepare, distribute, and maintain plans, instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) concerning system security.

  • You will prepare and maintain Risk Management Framework (RMF) system accreditation Body of Evidence (BOE) packages using eMASS, XACTA, or other approved A&A tools, including System Security Plans, Risk Assessment Reports, System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SCTM), and other documentation as required by ICD 503, NIST 800-53, CNSSI 1254, or the Authorizing Official (AO).

  • The position may require CONUS/OCONUS travel and shift work supporting operations, exercises, and conferences.



Qualifications


  • Security Clearance: An active DoD Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI is required. Or, you already have a DOD active other clearance.

  • Experience: 10 years of relevant Information Security experience is necessary.

  • DoD IA Expertise: Prior experience with DoD Information Assurance (IA) regulations, policies, and procedures is mandatory.

  • Education: A BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.

  • Certifications: Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level III Certified and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) ISC2 or equivalent certification are required

The proposed salary range for this position is:


$85,800 - $180,200
