Information System Security Engineer III (ISSE III) with Security

Job Title: Information System Security Engineer III (ISSE III)

Location(s): Annapolis Junction, MD

Hours: Regular Full–Time

Salary Range: $130k/yr – $225k/yr

Clearance Requirements: This position requires a current and active TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly at the time of application.

Responsibilities:

1. Review technical security assessments for computing environments to identify vulnerabilities, non–compliance with IA standards, and recommend mitigation strategies.
2. Validate and verify system security requirements and establish system security designs.
3. Design, develop, implement, and/or integrate IA and security systems for networking, computing, and enclave environments.
4. Build IA into systems deployed to operational environments.
5. Assist architects and developers in implementing security functionalities aligned with agency policies and enterprise solutions.
6. Support security architecture development and enforce trusted relationships among external systems.
7. Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle.
8. Contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, certification, and awareness activities.
9. Review certification and accreditation documentation for completeness and compliance.
10. Apply system security engineering expertise across various domains including security design, cryptography, identification, authentication, and risk management.
11. Support security authorization activities in compliance with NSA/CAA, DoD RMF, NIST RMF, and NS/CSS processes.

Position Requirements:

1. Twenty (20) years of experience as an ISSE on similar programs and contracts.
2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field; four (4) years of experience may substitute for a degree.
3. Knowledge of CISSIP and ISSEP or ISSAP certifications is required.
