Job summary

MECU is seeking a skilled IT professional to perform systems analysis and support within the Information Technology department at its corporate headquarters in Baltimore. The role involves maintaining core processing systems, developing reporting capabilities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance member experience.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in Information Systems with at least two years of related experience and familiarity with core banking environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems required with minimum two years related experience.
• Preferred: Core banking system experience

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain core system operations, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Proactively and reactively work with MECU to develop databases and processes that aid in process improvement.
• Field all end user inquiries relating to hardware, network and software operations and problems.
• Develop understanding of reporting functions of the core processor system to provide accurate reports and train staff.
• Provide second tier MIS helpdesk support for core processor reporting system.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network problems and provide resolution or notify appropriate personnel.
• Function as project lead for related projects involving core processing system.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication and documentation skills.
• Proficient in system architecture, integrations, databases (SQL, PowerBI, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Office Suite).
• Familiarity with security protocols, compliance standards and data governance.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks under stressful situations with patience and tact.

Position Summary:

Performs technical and analytical work in systems analysis for computer information system projects in the Information Technology department. Work involves analyzing, testing, installing, documenting and maintaining computer application programs which have a moderate degree of complexity. Develops reports, maintains databases, provides operational support and assists end user in utilizing automated system and applications to improve efficiencies.

Work also includes working as a team member on broader or more complex projects, effectively interfacing with technical and non-technical staff within and across the departments to enhance member experience. Provides help desk support as needed

Work Location:

This position is located at Corporate Headquarters in Downtown Baltimore. Incumbent will be required to report in office for this role. Upon completion of 90 days incumbent may work hybrid schedule. Approval is subject to performance, department needs, and manager’s discretion.

Education:

• High School Diploma – Required
• General Education Degree (GED) – in lieu of H.S. Diploma

Qualifications:

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from an accredited College or University and minimum two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: Core banking system experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain core system operations, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability
• Proactively and reactively, work with all areas of MECU to develop databases and/or processes that assist in the overall goal of process improvement.

Compensation:

Salary Range depending on experience and qualifications

• $67,415 - $101,175

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the successful candidate is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, keyboards or controls; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop or kneel.
