Job summary

Centuria seeks an Information Security Systems Officer (ISSO) to support Hanscom AFB, handling information assurance across multiple levels from Secret to TS/SCI. The role requires TS/SCI clearance and deep knowledge of AF, DoD, and federal cybersecurity directives.

The ISSO will develop and oversee IA programs, supervise IA activities, and ensure compliance with AF policies; annual refresher IA training is required for all users and C&A documentation is maintained for network systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity/IT or equivalent required.
• 6 years’ experience in Cybersecurity within DoD or Federal agency; 4 years may substitute for degree.
• Strong knowledge of Air Force, DoD and Federal Cybersecurity directives and instructions.
• Ability to work with teams and conduct technical interchanges as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, oversee, and maintain IA program at various clearance levels.
• Supervise the customer organization’s IA program.
• Implement and enforce Air Force IA policies and procedures.
• Ensure users have required clearances and IA training.

BLITS 3.0 PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

This role will be to directly support the mission of the 66th Air Base Group (66 ABG) to secure information and information systems; to support mission success through effective and efficient service delivery; and to sustain required infrastructure and capabilities. As one part of the greater Air Force Information Network (AFIN) enterprise, the 66 ABG Communications and Information Division (66 ABG/SC) has responsibilities in two categories (1) direct actions in support of Hanscom Air Force Base (HAFB) and geographically separated units (GSUs); and (2) indirect actions to support the AFIN enterprise. Successful solutions for this requirement are expected to have strengths in four areas: integration, flexibility, AFIN knowledge, and technical expertise.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, oversee, and maintain customer organization information assurance (IA) program that identifies IA requirements, personnel, processes, and procedures. These requirements may be at the Secret, Top Secret (TS), TS/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI), or Special Access Program (SAP) level.
• Supervise the customer organization’s IA program.
• Implement and enforce all Air Force IA policies and procedures using guidance within this instruction and applicable specialized IA publications.
• Comply with the installation WCSO policy and direction.
• Ensure all users have the requisite security clearances, supervisory need-to-know authorization, and are aware of their IA responsibilities (via IA training) before being granted access to Air Force information systems according to AFSSI 8522.
• Ensure all users receive IA refresher training on an annual basis.
• Develop and maintain Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation for organization-specific systems connected to the Hanscom Network.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity/Information technology or equivalent
• 6 years’ experience with Cybersecurity practices within the DoD or other Federal Agency. An additional 4 years’ experience may substitute for the degree.
• Strong knowledge of Air Force, DoD and applicable Federal Cybersecurity Directives and Instructions
• Work dynamically and effectively with people on projects (formal and informal) and conduct technical interchanges as required.
• Security+ certification required.
• TS/SCI Clearance
