Career Developers Inc. is seeking an Information Security Engineer for Enterprise & Automation Focus in New York City. Hybrid: Tue-Thu onsite, Mon & Fri remote.

The role requires broad enterprise InfoSec experience, Linux expertise, Python automation, vulnerability management, threat detection and incident response, with ownership mindset. Salary ranges from $250,000 to $500,000 base plus bonus and full benefits, commensurate with experience, and opportunities to secure evolving AI/agentic

Qualifications

• Must have broad information security experience across multiple areas.
• Experience in startup or high-growth environments with full-stack security ownership.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and hands-on Linux experience.
• Proficient in Python with automation of security workflows.
• Experience with vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response.
• Track record of building or implementing security processes, tools, or systems from scratch.
• Ability to work as a high-impact individual contributor with ownership.
• Interest in AI/agentic system security is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve company-wide security practices across infrastructure, systems, and workflows.
• Lead vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response efforts end-to-end.
• Design and implement automated security solutions using Python and related tools.
• Build and improve internal security tooling to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
• Secure Linux-based environments across endpoints, servers, and internal systems.
• Partner with engineering teams to integrate security into development and operational processes.
• Establish and refine security policies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Evaluate and deploy modern security tools while optimizing for efficiency and scalability.
• Contribute to securing emerging AI/agentic workflows as the environment evolves.
• Drive initiatives independently with full ownership from concept to execution.

Information Security Engineer - Enterprise & Automation Focus (Must come out of a start-up type setting, doing Enterprise Security)

Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid: Tues-Thurs onsite, Mon & Fri remote)

Salary: $250,000-$500,000 base bonus full benefits (fully based on experience)

Requirements

• Proven, broad experience across multiple areas of information security (not siloed)
• Background operating in startup or high-growth environments with full-stack security ownership
• Strong Linux fundamentals and hands-on experience in Linux-based environments
• Proficiency in Python with demonstrated experience automating security workflows
• Experience with vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response
• Track record of building or implementing security processes, tools, or systems from scratch
• Ability to work as a high-impact individual contributor with strong ownership
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with thoughtful, detailed problem-solving approach
• Demonstrated tenure showing meaningful contributions (not short-term or fragmented roles)
• Interest in AI/agentic system security is a plus, not required
