Job summary

Lam Research Corporation is seeking a senior information security leader to plan, design, and build security architectures across the enterprise in the California Bay Area. You will oversee network and system security, implement firewalls and IDS/IPS, and ensure policy compliance while monitoring LAN/WAN/VPN environments.

The role demands extensive experience in security assessments, incident response, and forensics, with a flexible hybrid work arrangement and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing and building security architectures for complex networks and systems.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, VPNs, routers, and firewalls, plus incident response and forensics.

Responsibilities

• Perform security assessments, penetration testing and risk analysis.

• Investigate intrusions and conduct forensic investigations.
• Administer security controls and countermeasures against external threats.

The impact you’ll make

Responsible for the planning, design and build of security architectures; oversees the implementation of network and computer security and ensures compliance with corporate cybersecurity policies and procedures. Monitors cybersecurity requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related network devices. Performs security assessments of applications and systems using penetration and vulnerability testing and risk analysis. Configures and installs firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Implements software fixes (patches) to remove system vulnerabilities. Responds immediately to cybersecurity-related incidents and provides a thorough post-event analysis. Investigates intrusion incidents and conducts forensic investigations. Employees focused on administering security controls, defenses and countermeasures against outside penetration and attack, conducting tests to identify vulnerabilities and performing root cause analysis to identify gaps should be matched to Information Security Operations.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $137,000.00 - $287,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
