Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Information Security Automation Engineer in Atlanta/Nashville/Columbus to design, develop, and maintain security automation that improves efficiency and reduces risk. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information security, CS, IT, or engineering.
• Experience with IAM, SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability management, endpoint security, or cloud security.
• Knowledge of API development, system integrations, and workflow orchestration.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support automated security workflows, orchestration processes, and system integrations.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, IAM, Fraud, and other teams to reduce manual tasks through automation.
• Integrate platforms and enterprise systems using APIs and automation frameworks.
• Develop automation for identity governance, access management, vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance monitoring.
• Work with security analysts and engineers to improve operational efficiency and control effectiveness.
• Support deployment and operation of security tools, orchestration platforms, and workflow automation.
• Ensure automation aligns with security policies, standards, and audit requirements.
• Troubleshoot automation failures, integration issues, and process exceptions.
• Maintain documentation for automation workflows and procedures.

Job Summary

The Information Security Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining security automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, strengthen security controls, and reduce organizational risk. This role partners with Information Security, Infrastructure, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Application Development, and IT Operations teams to automate security processes, integrate security tools, and enable scalable, repeatable security operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support automated security workflows, orchestration processes, and system integrations.


• Support various departments (Security Operations, IAM, Fraud, Others) to identify opportunities to eliminate manual tasks through automation and process optimization.cy


• Integrate platforms, applications, and enterprise systems using APIs, scripting, and automation frameworks.


• Develop and maintain automation related to identity governance, access management, vulnerability management, incident response, compliance monitoring, and security reporting.


• Collaborate with security analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and control effectiveness.


• Support the implementation and operations of security tools, orchestration platforms, and workflow automation technologies.


• Ensure automation solutions align with security policies, standards, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations.


• Troubleshoot and resolve automation failures, integration issues, and process exceptions.


• Maintain technical documentation for automation workflows, integrations, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.


• Experience working with security technologies such as IAM, SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability management, endpoint security, or cloud security solutions.


• Knowledge of API development, system integrations, and workflow orchestration.


• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, security controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with platforms such as SailPoint, Okta, CyberArk, ServiceNow, UiPath, and Palo Alto XSOAR.


• Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).


• Industry certifications such as CISSP, Security+, GSEC, Azure Security Engineer, or relevant automation certifications.


• Experience supporting regulatory and audit requirements in a financial services environment.
