Job summary

Cook Systems, Inc. seeks a security specialist to drive certificate and SSH remediation across enterprise teams. You will identify risks, coordinate across infrastructure, apps, and cloud groups, and promote ownership of cryptographic assets.

You will help implement certificate management tools, generate metrics, and report remediation progress to leadership. Strong scripting and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Information Security, Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Administration, or Cybersecurity Operations.
• Experience with SSL/TLS certificates, SSH keys, trust stores, or cryptographic technologies.
• Experience coordinating remediation across multiple teams.
• Knowledge of Linux, Windows, cloud platforms, and enterprise app environments.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting.
• Strong troubleshooting, project coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple remediation efforts with timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead remediation efforts for SSH keys, certificates, and related cryptographic assets.
• Collaborate with teams to replace, update, rotate, and validate certificates and SSH keys.
• Identify systems affected by certificate lifecycle events and migrations.
• Coordinate remediation to meet security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Validate deployments of certificate and SSH key changes in prod and non-prod.
• Track progress, risks, dependencies, and exceptions through completion.
• Support enterprise initiatives for certificate lifecycle management and trust stores.
• Create dashboards and executive reports on remediation status and risk reduction.
• Assist teams onboarding to approved certificate management solutions.
• Partner with Security, Infrastructure, DevOps, Cloud, and Applications teams.

Summary:

The is centered on collaborating with application, infrastructure, cloud, and platform teams to identify, prioritize, and address SSH key, certificate, and machine identity risks across the enterprise. The role aims to drive certificate and SSH remediation activities, promote ownership accountability, reduce cryptographic risk, and enhance the adoption of enterprise certificate management standards and tools.

Responsibilities:

• Lead remediation efforts for SSH keys, certificates, trust stores, and related cryptographic assets.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to replace, update, rotate, and validate certificates and SSH keys.
• Identify systems affected by certificate lifecycle events, root CA migrations, and cryptographic modernization initiatives.
• Coordinate remediation activities to ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Validate successful deployment of certificate and SSH key changes across production and non-production environments.
• Track remediation progress, risks, dependencies, and exceptions through to completion.
• Support enterprise-wide initiatives related to certificate lifecycle management, trust store updates, and SSH key governance.
• Create operational metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting on remediation status and risk reduction.
• Assist teams in onboarding to approved certificate management and automation solutions.
• Partner with Security, Infrastructure, DevOps, Cloud, and Application teams to streamline certificate management processes.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in Information Security, Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Administration, or Cybersecurity Operations.
• Experience with SSL/TLS certificates, SSH keys, trust stores, or cryptographic technologies.
• Experience in coordinating technical remediation efforts across multiple teams.
• Knowledge of Linux, Windows, cloud platforms, and enterprise application environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Strong troubleshooting, project coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent remediation efforts and adhere to established timelines.
