Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Tenable, Qualys, or Rapid7 vulnerability scanning tools
• Knowledge of NIST security standards, CVE/CVSS, patch management and attack vectors
• Ability to translate vulnerability data into actionable remediation guidance
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical information to diverse audiences

Information Security Analyst IV in the Office of Information Technology at the Department of Financial Services in Tallahassee. The role monitors threat intelligence sources including data access reports, endpoint detection events, and firewall logs to identify and remediate security issues, while implementing technical controls and coordinating secure IT infrastructure standards.

• Four years of experience in MIS, Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or related field (or post-secondary degree substituted year-for-year)
• Five or more years of progressive cybersecurity experience with significant vulnerability management or security operations background
• Knowledge of enterprise vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable, Qualys, or RapidT
• Knowledge of NIST security standards, CVE/CVSS scoring, patch management, and common attack vectors
• Ability to interpret technical vulnerability data and translate findings into actionable remediation guidance
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
