Job summary

San Bernardino County's Innovation and Technology Department seeks a motivated Information Security Analyst II to monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity events, safeguarding the Countywide information security program.

You will lead incident response efforts, collaborate with IT teams and external partners, and help design security controls, awareness training, and risk assessments to protect systems and data.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience assisting with IT security solution implementations and monitoring.
• Educational requirement: 60 semester units from an accredited college or university in information security or related field; substitutions allowed.
• Ideal candidate may hold master's or CEH/CISSP-style training and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity events and incidents.
• Lead incident response efforts and coordinate with IT teams and external partners.
• Identify mitigation/remediation activities and articulate security measures to leadership.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and collaborate on security design improvements.
• Coordinate security awareness and phishing simulations Countywide.
