Job summary

East Texas A&M University is seeking a Research & Instruction Librarian to provide research assistance and instruction for undergraduates, graduates, and faculty, with emphasis on coordinating a multi-literacy program.

As a member of the Library, you will contribute to collection development and collaborate across departments to enhance student success and engagement in a lively academic environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel and work beyond normal hours as needed.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and implements an engaging information literacy program and develops student learning outcomes.
• Assesses the effectiveness of the literacy program’s strategies and initiatives in support of student success.
• Develops policies and programs to build and improve research skills within courses and LMS.
• Oversees digital learning objects and supports early college high school students.
• Provides library instruction and creates instructional materials across formats.
• Provides research assistance and serves as a subject librarian to a designated college/academic department.
• Collaborates to align resources with teaching and research needs and participates in engagement activities.
